What is Theology Breakfast?

A place to consider the reality of faith, hope, and love.

We long to be nourished, body and soul. Theology Breakfast exists to prompt thoughtful reflection and discussion about the essentials of the Christian faith. Our aim is that all who participate would love the truth, goodness, and beauty of the Christian story, and above all the One who is Truth, Goodness, and Beauty in Person.

Our aim is that your hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 2:2-3

Why do I love hosting Theology Breakfast?

As a pastor, I want nothing more than to see people made new in Christ.

My name is Evan Tinklenberg. I’m a pastor at Geneva Campus Church. When I see the restlessness of my own heart echoed in the students at UW-Madison, I feel the ache. St. Augustine was correct: God made us for himself, and our hearts are restless until they rest in him. I can’t make the ache go away, but I can point to the one you were made for.

I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. God has chosen to make known the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.

Colossians 1:25-29

Questions Matter.

Jesus invites all who come to him to ask, seek, and knock (Luke 11).

If you have a question about God, the Bible, or Christianity, you’re welcome to ask.
